The Civitas Social Housing PLC board is comprised of members with many years of experience in the investment industry, social housing, local authorities and finance.
The five Directors are responsible for the overall management and supervision of the Company and determine the investment objectives and policies for the year ahead.
The Board is also responsible for risk management, including financial, operational and compliance. There are regular reviews of the effectiveness of systems in place and they maintain overall control of any changes to the capital, corporate or management structure of the Company.
In addition to the existing five Directors, the Board is pleased to confirm the recent appointment of Alison Hadden as a fifth member of the Board.
Alison brings significant experience gained from working within the social housing sector and particularly in relation to the delivery of supported living.
In addition the Board is pleased to note the appointment brings Civitas into full compliance with the recommendations of the Hampton-Alexander Review 2016 and the Corporate Governance Code relating to the representation of women on FTSE 350 boards.
